Regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors are held at the Roanoke County Administrative Center - 5204 Bernard Drive, SW - Roanoke, VA 24018. The meetings are held at 3:00 p.m. and public hearings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise advertised. Any change to this schedule will be advertised at least two weeks in advance. The Board Meetings are broadcast live on RVTV, Channel 3, and will be rebroadcast following the meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Bulk and brush will be picked up for streets designated for A Week pickup. Bulk and brush is collected every other week on your regular garbage collection day.

Winter Reading is a program to encourage early literacy skills with your child. If your child is aged 0-5, register at your closest County library. Read together everyday, and when you complete your goal your child will be rewarded with a prize!

An intermediate level Word class. In this class, you will learn how to use page setup, create bulleted and numbered lists, add borders and shading, set tab stops, insert tables and use Word templates and proofing tools. Prerequisite: Word I or comparable skill level.

An advanced level Word class.In this class about Microsoft Word, you will learn how to draw lines and arrows, use AutoShapes, insert pictures, text boxes, clip art, graphs and WordArt, and use the special formatting features on the Drawing Toolbar. Prerequisites: Word II or comparable skill level.

This is a teen-centered creative writing club. Each month we will choose a topic to briefly discuss, and then create poems, flash-fiction, short stories, comic books inspired by that topic. We use a "just for fun" format, which means teens simply show up to the writing club ready to write, with no homework in between.
